This book by writer and journalist Arkan Kariv (1963-2012) includes two novels as well as various short prose (short stories, essays, reviews), which appeared in periodicals. The novel "Once Upon A Time In Bishkek", which have been finished not long before the author's death and which is now published for the first time, has a subtitle "love novel". The main character is good old Martin Zilber, author's alter ego, first introduced to the reader in the novel "Translator". Adventorous plot, based on modern political situation, this time leads Zilber to Bishkek as a participant in the electoral campaign of one of the presidential candidates.
