The comprehensible retelling of Biblical history from the modern views.
The book you are about to read is a statement of the first books of the Hebrew Bible (Torah, the five books of Moses) in the light of modern achievements of science and history. In principle, this popular science research. It is written in a light and entertaining style, and is intended for readers with little or unfamiliar with the Bible, but well enough educated to perceive the logic and respect the facts. Moreover, the book is written and atheists, but not arrogant dogmatist, and thoughtful and kind person with independent thinking, liberated from dogma driven into our consciousness of Soviet education.
The purpose of this book is to bring people to faith in the one God (that is the purpose of Abraham), or, at least, to ensure that you, the reader, ask yourself this question: "can not be ...?"
I also have not responded to this question, but clearly rejected the mindless, a priori negation. I asked myself this question, and more inclined to say "yes" than "no."
One of my students asked, "Who wrote the Torah?" I say, I know two things. First, the Torah was written (and written) about three thousand ago (we have found is that the dating of her manuscripts). Second, it contains information that could not get to know people in the days of bows and arrows, the information we do know, learn and reaffirm today only. Therefore, the Torah could not write people. That's what I want to show in my book. Draw your own conclusions.
Quite often also asked the question: is there any evidence of a Creator? This question was answered Rabbi Eliyahu Essas: "no funds can not prove the existence of the Creator. Creator, relatively speaking, infinitely" above "all human possibilities. After all, the human brain is His creation." But you can not prove otherwise. So I, as a man of science, the answer is closer secular scientist, active member of the International Academy of Astronautics J. Eisenberg, "fundamentally impossible science that will strengthen secularism and faith in God. Science" belongs "to a precise knowledge, scientists appeal to the human mind. Faith in God is exactly eera ... She just needs a man, like the accurate knowledge "(1996). I, in his essays in this book, is also appealing to the mind of readers and stick to factual writing style. Moreover, as I noted above, the Torah contains information, which proves that it can not be written by a man.
This book is the result of not only my thoughts, but also, to some extent, compilatory, for it used materials and reflections of many authors. As a result, I understand the thesis director of the National Human Genome Research Institute of the United States, Dr. Francis Collins: "Because I believe in the divine creative force, originally led to the existence of all, I find that the study of the natural world is the ability to observe the grandeur and elegance, complexity God's creation "(Time, 13.07.2006)
An important feature of this book is that considering the events described in the Bible, I saw and tried to show their connection with the current events in the world and in Israel.
